What is this?
In an effort to create more training and flying opportunities for our members, we are initiating recurring weekday training operations planned for every Wednesday afternoon. We are going to try to keep this particular time slot going every week starting June 9th through the end of August.
A few things to keep in mind regarding this plan:
1) We have been able to obtain advance commitment from instructors and tow pilots. In many cases, these volunteers are taking vacation time off work to make these operations happen. For this reason, if our weather on a scheduled day falls below flyable minimums and the operation must be cancelled, it may not be possible to simply shift the operation to the next day - this may be possible and can be worked out on a case by case basis.
2) Instruction is targeted to begin with wheels up on flight #1 at 1:00 PM on these days and can extend into the early evening to accommodate members who may not be able to join until later in the day due to work or school. Please be mindful of this if you want to join us for flying later in the afternoon. We will normally try to wrap up and have all the equipment put away by 6:00 PM. The instructor and tow pilot will have the final say on any operations plan that would intend to run later than that.
3) If you are planning to join a Wednesday operation, please pre-register on Club Express under the role you intend to fly so that we can know who to expect.
Please arrive by 12:00 Noon to assist with preparing the equipment for the day's operation and/or stay late to assist with putting equipment away.
