PGC is hosting its annual winter glider pilot ground school

BFSS Webinar: Intro to Cross Country

The seminars will be held on Thursdays beginning at 6 PM Mountain Time. They will be presented every two weeks, starting Thursday January 15th and running through May 7th. The sessions will be on-line. The sessions will be 1.5 – 2.5 hours in duration. Most sessions should be about 2 hours. Our FAAST Team members (Quay Snyder, Alice Palmer, & Mark Palmer) are working to get these seminars approved for FAA WINGS credit. If you would like WINGS credit please register using the email address associated with your WINGS account.

The Brandywine Soaring Association held their AGM at the EAA240 Chapter Meeting Room on November 5, and surprised BSA and EAA240 member Tom Callahan who, at the meeting, was awarded and presented with the FAA's Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for fifty years of dedicated service in aviation safety.

FAAST Program Manager Eric Sieracki led the ceremony, with Tom's wife and family at his side, detailing Tom's involvement and contribution to commercial airlines, war experiences, flight instruction, soaring instruction, flight-services owner/operator(with his wife), FAAST team member and much more. Tom's BSA and attending EAA240 members cheered him on as he received the award, offering many congratulations.
